Moroccan Humanitarian Aid, an Act of Generosity Towards Palestinians in Critical Situation (Grand Mufti of Al-Quds)
Tangier - The humanitarian aid sent by Morocco as an act of the support ordered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the benefit of the Palestinian people, constitutes a "hand of generosity" lent to the Palestinians in this critical situation, said the Grand Mufti of Al-Quds and Palestine, Sheikh Mohamed Ahmed Hossein.
"We highly salute this admirable and noble initiative of the Sovereign, this bigheartedness towards the Palestinian people in such a critical situation, and we warmly thank His Majesty the King, the Government and the brotherly people of Morocco for their generosity", he told MAP, Tuesday in Tangier, on the sidelines of his participation in a meeting at the Press House of the city.
This operation includes the setting up of a Royal Armed Forces (FAR) field hospital in the Gaza Strip and the granting of blankets, a batch of essential drugs, as well as food aid by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity.
In this context, Ahmed Hossein stressed that "this act of solidarity is nothing new, Morocco has always backed the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people", reiterating his sincere thanks to His Majesty the King on behalf of the Palestinian Authority, led by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and all the Palestinian people.
He added that this initiative constitutes a "humanitarian gesture and a real support to the Palestinian people in these difficult conditions in Gaza and Palestine".
