Moroccan-Belgian joint commission opens meeting in Brussels

Brussels - The 2nd session of the Moroccan-Belgian joint commission opened on Tuesday in Brussels under the co-chairmanship of the two countries' heads of government, Abdelilah Benkirane and Elio Di Rupo.

The high-level meeting will be taking stock of achievements and future needs.

Delegations will also be looking into deepening political dialog, developing cooperation and consultation and promoting bilateral ties.

Major cooperation agreements covering political consultation, security, gender equality and training will be concluded during the session between the two countries that are also bound by an 80 million Euro-worth 2012-2013 cooperation program.

Several Moroccan ministers are taking part in the session, including interior, foreign affairs, justice, migration, labor and social affairs ministers.

Morocco is Belgium's main bilateral cooperation partners outside Austral Africa.
