Mohammed VI Foundation for detainees' reintegration, model and reference in Arab world, PRI official

This foundation is a unique institution in the Arab world, created to promote educational and vocational training programs to enhance the socio-professional reintegration of prisoners, she has said at a conference initiated under the theme "the penal policies in the Arab world and their impact on correctional systems: alternative sentences and post-prison support" ( Feb. 04-05).

The PRI works to generalize this Moroccan experience to other Arab countries, she said, adding that this organization will launch in Jordan a similar foundation dedicated to the rehabilitation of prisoners. The Marrakech symposium provides an opportunity for other countries to get informed about the pioneering Moroccan experience in the field of rehabilitation of prisoners at the Arab level, said Taghreed Jaber.
