Messahel: "The solution to the crisis in Mali through the promotion of Malian political dialogue”
The Algeria Deputy Minister for Maghreb and African Affairs Abdelkader Messahel reiterated on Friday in Rome that the solution to the crisis in Mali is through the promotion of Malian political dialogue and the eradication of terrorist groups and those related to organised crime, APS reported. .

Messahel stressed that the possible use of military action,must target terrorist groups and those related to drug trafficking and organized crime are the real threat in the region, he said
He emphasised that a negotiated political solution, is the only way to achieve a viable and sustainable situation involving the central government of Mali and the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA) and Ansar Dine. This had to be achieved by retaining Mali's territorial integrity. Mali,he said, had to provide the coordination between the AU,ECOWAS and the Sahel countries.
He also stressed the need to pursue economic and regional development in Mali and the Sahel and act against terrorism and organised crime which Algeria would support.
