Maroc Telecom's net income up 5.6 in 2014
Rabat - The net income of Maroc Telecom Group, Morocco's largest telecom operator, rose by 5.6% in 2014 to stand at 5.580 billion dirhams compared to 5.540 billion dirhams a year earlier, President of the Group's board of managers Abdeslam Ahizoune said on Monday in Rabat.
Ahizoune who was presenting the Group's financial results, added that Maroc Telecom's turnover rose 2.1% to reach 29.144 billion dirhams, notably thanks to a 11.3% of the Group's activities abroad.
Maroc Telecom counts 40.315 million of mobile landline and internet clients in 2014 in Morocco, that is an 8.2% increase noted Ahizoune while the number of clients rose by 16.5 in the Group's African subsidiaries.
"2014 was marked by a return to growth of the turnover and the net income, thus the Group Maroc Telecom reaped the benefits of its large investments in mobile, landline and broadband and very broadband internet," Abdeslam Ahizoune said.
