Mali: A call for international arrest warrants against the leaders of MNLA and Ansar Dine
Among the signatories of a document entitled "Manifesto for the nation" were the FDR, the RPRF Mali-ko, the ADPS, Mali IBK-2012, CAFO (Coordination associations and women's organizations in Mali) the FENACOF (National Federation of collective women's organizations Mali).

The signatories asked the authorities to launch immediate arrest warrants against the leaders of international MNLA and Ansar Dine. They accusde the two movements of serious human rights violations, violence against  women, children and the elderly as well as war crimes and crimes against humanity in the North of Mali.

In a previous meeting the Ambassador of France to Mali, Christian Rouyer, suggested in substance that if an  international arrest warrant is issued against MNLA officials and it meets the criteria for various commitments signed between France and Mali, they would be delivered to the Malian authorities.

The signatories to the maifesto also emphasised that the elimination of the terrorist threat  in the north should not result inreturning to power sessionist or jihadi groups under the guise of national unity. They refuse any dialogue with the MNLA and Ansar Dine which they say  are associated with slavery, terrorism, fundamentalist doctrines, racism and separatism. In addition they havebeen allied with terrorist oganisations including AQIM and Mujao.

They also say that it would be wrong to organise elections only in the South of the country and that elections should await the liberation of the north asto goahead with elections now would enshrine the partition of the country in law. They point out that there is no precedent for a State to hold general elections while most of its territory is under foreign occupation
