MAP Publishes Dossier on Security Units in Morocco

Lundi 16 Décembre 2019

Rabat - Moroccan News Agency (MAP) published the 18th issue of its monthly BAB Magazine, with a major dossier on the Kingdom security policy which highlights the contribution from an institution with a credibility that beats disinformation, stereotypes and fake news. MAP conducted a survey to collect the opinions of specialists and professionals within the national police body (DGSN) and elsewhere to offer its readers a panoramic and objective view of the security effort and the various challenges facing the Moroccan police institution. Entitled "Radioscopy of law enforcement", the dossier underlines the evolving spirit of the DGSN which has shown through its long history that it was always aware of the changes and the strategic needs of the country, and of the security needs of proximity to citizens. From former mobile intervention companies, whose deviations are fully assumed by the DGSN, to the current law enforcement units, Morocco has succeeded in building a security system based on new values, in line with its democratic choices and its political and social orientations, said the magazine in its November issue. A credibility built over the decades, in perseverance and silence, which refuses to bow down to stereotypes, unfounded accusations for the most part, as well as wrongly spread fake news, the institution has proven its readiness each time to assume all its acts. Through a series of interviews over two days by MAP journalists at the DGSN, BAB Magazine highlights how preconceived ideas continue to haunt rigid minds about bygone security policies that have given way to a reinvented institution, that is aware of the expectations and aspirations of all components of the Nation.

The dossier reveals the continuous battle waged by the law enforcement system against stigma, while remaining focused on its main mission: to guarantee the security of the Kingdom while respecting the dignity and rights of everyone.
