In response to the request of the National Court judge, Pablo Ruz, the Spanish police are on the lookout of the suspects in several Spanish cities, including Vitoria, Las Palmas, Badajoz, Girona, Madrid, Cordoba and Cadiz, Romero said in a statement to MAP- Madrid.

The lawyer said he provided the authorities on Monday with the updated addresses of these officials, charged with "genocide, torture, forced disappearances, illegal detention, and serious violations of human rights" in the camps of Tindouf in southwest Algeria.

If the police cannot locate the accused, the Spanish courts will resort to international collaboration, he said.

A judge of the Spanish National Court, agreed last November on the complaint filed on December 14, 2007 by the victims of the Polisario and a Sahrawi NGO against senior Algerian officials and members of the security and Polisario leaders, some of whom are Spanish nationals.
