Lahcen Haddad, Minister of Tourism ;"The outcome of the Vision 2020 depends on a diversified system"
"To achieve the objectives of Vision 2020, to make Morocco one of the top 20 tourist destinations in the world, is dependent on the development of a diversified system in terms of offers and destinations offered," the Minister of Tourism said in Taraoudant.

Lahcen Haddad spoke at the opening of the first edition of the International Development of Hinterland (SIAPAT).
"This objective requires the establishment of six sharply defined structuring programs, which combine culture, sea and nature, exploring the hinterland regions. " He said that this required an approach where the concern for sustainable development went "hand in hand" with plans focused around specific opportunitieswith higher value-added, MAP reported.
He highlighted the issue of sustainable development, a central theme of SIAPAT which called for new high quality tourism projects to be adapted to Moroccan tourism. he said the aim was to highlight the wealth of features in eight environmentally friendly territories; the North Cape, Mediterranean Morocco, South Atlantic, Central Morocco
Central Atlantic,the Atlas and valleys, Marrakech ,Grand Atlantic , Atlantic Sahara, and the Souss ,he affirmed.
The Minister explained that each territory will have an integrated development strategy, which will accompany the sustainable development strategy and policy at the national level, he noted. The Minister also emphasized the need to win the support of local actors to better utilisation of assets and attractiveness of optimal target areas.
