Justice minister denies that rape convict was given royal pardon

Rabat - The ministry of justice and freedoms denied on Sunday that a man convicted of rape was given royal pardon on Eid Al-Fitr.

In a release sent to MAP, the ministry says this news reported by some electronic sites is "baseless and no one convicted for rape was freed or granted royal pardon on this occasion." (MAP)SH MAP 111711 GMT Aug 2013
