Jean-Marc Doron and Omar Zaid, pictoral encounter in Dar Bellarj

As part of the cultural exchange between the city of Tours in France and the Dar Bellarj Foundation of Marrakesh offers the public an exhibition of paintings by two artists, Jean Marc Doron Omar and Zayd and Saturday, January 12, 2013.

Jean-Marc Doron and Omar Zaid met by chance in the kasbah of Marrakech, it was a small shop in which he presented his work of calligraphy.

Jean-Marc Doron was immediately impressed by the quality and originality of the work of Omar Zaid. Soon after confronted with their own creations and  after many discussions on the design of their research, they envisaged the possibility of working together mixing the two techniques and especially their two cultures.

Thus, thanks to the support of Maryvonne Grunberg - Project manager of the city of Tours for decentralized cooperation with the city of Marrakesh - the energetic and caring Maha Elmadi - Director of Dar Bellarj foundation - this project has been lead and presented in this beautiful setting.

Omar Zaid was born August 20, 1969 in Marrakesh. He lives and works in the ocher city and regularly attends trade shows in Morocco and Europe. Painter and calligrapher, it uses ink, acrylic or watercolor on canvas or paper. He also engravings on stone and marble. He is recognized by his peers as one of the best and most inventive Moroccan calligraphers.

Jean-Marc Doron was born in 1949 in Amboise (France). After two years of studying commercial art at the Brassard school, he entered the Beaux-Arts in Tours in 1967. Doron is  a C.F.A.S. Holder (Tours - 1969) and National Diploma in Painting (Rennes -1972). He is guest of honour at many salons, numerous group exhibitions, FIAC from 74 to 83 with the Davidson gallery.

Remember, finally, that the opening will be organized by a group of folk dances Tours "Laughing dance", a group of amateur folk dances that exchanges around the folk dances, with the talented group of moms in Marrakech last year . It is, therefore, a mixture of dance and dance tourangelles Moroccan will be honored artists Jean-Marc Doron and Omar Zaid.
