JICA resolved to work with Morocco to develop Japan-Morocco-Africa triangular cooperation, its head says

Rabat - President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Akihiko Tanaka expressed, on Tuesday in Rabat, his institution's resolve to work with Morocco in order to develop triangular cooperation (Japan, Morocco and Africa).

"We are determined to work with our Moroccan partners to strengthen and broaden triangular cooperation", Tanaka said in a press conference wrapping up his visit to Morocco, during which he had a series of meetings with several Moroccan officials, mainly head of government Abdelilah Benkirane.
 
Morocco is one of the most active countries with an inclusive experience in triangular cooperation with Africa, JICA president told the press, highlighting the strong ties between the Kingdom and sub-Saharan countries. 
 
He also underlined the Agency's main activity areas with Africa which includes key sectors as trade, fisheries, transport, agriculture, training and health.
 
Tanaka said he is "very impressed" by the will of the Moroccan government to share its expertise with other developing countries.
