JCI Morocco hosts Africa ME Conference 23 - 26 May 2012 in Casablanca

The International Junior Chamber of Morocco will organise the 2012 JCI Africa & Middle East Area Conference. following the worsening situation in Syria, there were two years initially chosen to host this event.

Morocco presented its candidature for 2014 but was the only country that accepted the challenge of organizing this event in under 6 months. The conference of the Africa and Middle East will be held from 23 to 26 May 2012 in Casablanca, under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. Its  generic theme is: "Sustainable Impact through active citizenship."

This is the first time that the Kingdom is hosting to a major event of this international organization. About 700 young leaders and entrepreneurs are expected mainly from the African and Middle Eastern region. " international forum allows you to find solutions to regional problems and discuss how they can develop, improve and create positive change, "said Asmaa Benslimane, of the  Executive Committee Organizing the conference area of ​​JCI Africa & Middle East, during a press  briefing on Thursday, March 22 in Casablanca.

The program includes high-level training provided by renowned experts on personal development and the latest in management.Tourism is no exception. Several circuits are being developed, together with specialized institutions, for the participantsto discover more cities and regions of the Kingdom. Traditions and customs of the Moroccans will also be honored through several activities planned during the  area conference . In addition, "many Moroccan and foreign personalities, including ministers, economists and corporate executives will be on hand to discuss topics related to sustainable development, poverty eradication and the promotion of South - South relations, "explained Yassir Mezouari, President 2012 of JCI Morocco.

For information, in the history of JIC, Tunisia and Mali have already organized two conferences in the Africa of the African Middle East & Junior International Chamber. An event has also been  held in other African  countries including Mali, Cameroon Gabon, Benin, South Africa, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast and Nigeria. The next Area Conference will be held in the capital of Botswana, Gaborone, in 2013.
