Salerno (Italy) - The necessity to strengthen ties with Africa to save Europe from its economic crisis was underlined on Friday in Salerno (southern Italy) by Italian officials who run this province of Italy.

'' It is necessary to create reports intense cooperation between Europe and Africa,'' said the officials who spoke to a delegation on mission to study in Italy under the protection of the rights of migrants since last Tuesday and visited during the sieges of the province and the prefecture of Salerno.

 

Councillor Provencal Salerno, Massimo Cariello noted in this context that Europe and Africa can help each other, the Europe, Africa and the technology of its natural resources.

 

Reeve Salerno, Maria Pantalone Gérarda believed that all States must cooperate with each other including African states to get out of this economic crisis in Europe and to achieve economic development in Africa.

 

Antonio Iannone, in his capacity as president of the province of Salerno, said his province strongly believes in the need for close cooperation with the Mediterranean countries.

 

'' The province of Salerno, which lies to the south of Italy has a great interest in all Mediterranean countries, including Algeria, and wants to develop economic, social and cultural relations with these countries,'' he said .

 

President of the Algerian delegation, Yasmina Taya, said for her part that it needs'' north and south of the South needs the North.''

 

Speaking of the phenomenon of mixed migration flows, she called for a Euro-Mediterranean regional cooperation to find common solutions to this problem.

 

A delegation of Algerian experts, led by officials of the National Consultative Commission for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights (Advisory Commission) began last Sunday a study mission in Italy in the exchange of experiences with the country in strengthening the protection of migrants.

 

This mission, the third of its kind, is part of a research project on mixed migration flows in Algeria, funded by the European Union and the Italian Ministry of the Interior.

 

It aims to strengthen the capacity of the institutions involved in the management of mixed migration flows and the protection of migrants.

 

The project falls within the framework of a Memorandum of Understanding in 2010 between CNCPPDH and various international institutions that are the Italian Council for Refugees (CIR) and the Union of Lawyers for the Protection of Human Rights (UFTDU).

 

It will culminate in November 2013 with an international conference on the draft study mixed migration flows in Algeria.
