Investment opportunities in Morocco presented in Lisbon

Lisbon - Investment and Partnership opportunities in Morocco, and the major projects launched in the Kingdom were presented Wednesday in Lisbon during the second Economic Forum for the internationalization of Portuguese companies.

Organized by "World Business Partners" in collaboration with the University of Lisbon, and the Portuguese Industrial Association, under the theme "Shopping for an opportunity," the meeting discussed several topics related to the strategy of internationalization of Portuguese companies in this time of crisis, and the need to invest in countries with multiple investment and business opportunities such as Morocco.

Speaking on this occasion, Ambassador of Morocco to Portugal, Karima Benyaich, gave an overview of the political reforms in Morocco and the performance of the Moroccan economy, highlighting the progress made by the Kingdom in different sectors as well as the institutional reforms launched to stimulate business climate for foreign investment.

"A partner of choice for Portugal that has access to the Arab-Muslim world and Africa, Morocco is a target country as part of the diversification and expansion strategy of Portuguese businessmen, "said the diplomat, adding that Morocco has launched several projects and reforms to encourage foreign companies, particularly European ones to settle in Morocco and take advantage of its strategic location, openness and its FTA diverse network.

For her part, Maria Silvério Rocha, head of World Business Partners, said the strategy of international openness is a vital alternative for Portuguese companies in these times of crisis, adding that the growing interest of the Portuguese entrepreneurs in investment and business opportunities of Morocco can be explained by the geographical proximity and the attractive business climate, as well as the excellent political relations between the two countries.
