International Seminar on Amazigh Studies to be held late July in Tiznit
Tiznit - An international seminar on Amazigh studies in Morocco and abroad will be held in Tiznit on July 24-25 at the initiative of the Tayri n Wakal association.

Marking four years after the recognition in the constitution of the Amazigh language and culture, the seminar features a range of artistic, cultural and literary activities, organisers said in a statement.
Teaching Amazigh in north African and western universities lies on the top of the agenda of the event which brings together scholars from Morocco, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands and Algeria.
The programme also includes a concert that will be livened up by icons of Amazighe music such as Fatima Tabâamrant, Hassan Idhammou.
On the same occasion, the faculty of humanities of the Ibn Zohr University and the Amazigh culture chair at the university of Granada will sign a partnership agreement.
The seminar is held in partnership with the culture ministry, the Royal Institute for Amazigh Culture, Ibn Zohr University, Tiznit's provincial council, and the communal council of the city.
