Speaking before the 4th Committee of the UN General Assembly, they delivered overwhelming evidence of the involvement of the Polisario in the large-scale embezzlement of humanitarian aid destined to the Sahrawis held against their will in Tindouf camps, which end up in the accounts of the leaders of Polisario, with the complicity of the Algerian regime.

"Unfortunately, the rights of Sahrawis in Tindouf camps are violated by those who are supposed to protect them", said Eric Cameron from World Action for Refugees, recalling the shocking findings of the reports of the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF).

He noted that these reports have shown massive embezzlements of humanitarian aid, which are sold in local markets or stored illegally and systematically since late 1990s.

In the same vein, Stéphane Rodriguez, of the Brussels Bar, said that OLAF investigators who complained repeatedly about Polisario's refusal to give free access to humanitarian organizations, or allowing the supervision of supply and distribution chains have also stressed the urgent need to identify the precise number of people who really need this help.

For Rodriguez, the absence of such a census undermines the rights of Sahrawis held against their will in Tindouf camps, southwestern Algeria, in flagrant violation of their most basic rights to human dignity.
