Algeria will host a conference two-day international energy conference focused on investment opportunities in the Algerian Energy and opportunities for development of shale gas in Algeria.

 The "Algeria Energy Forum" provides an opportunity for Algerians to raise awareness of the national mining and government measures to intensify in the exploration, especially since Algeria is preparing to adopt a new law on hydrocarbons to boost oil and gas investment.
 
The program of the conference, organized nine meetings, including the participation of senior international energy companies, such as Didier Holleaux, CEO of the French group GDF-Suez and Manaud Jacques Caves, President of Total Africa.
 
Halliburton, the American group represented by several project managersfor shale gas, will lead a workshop focused on the challenges and opportunities for the development of unconventional gas in Algeria.
 
Most groups and energy companies operating in Algeria are participating in this conference, like Statoil, Repsol, Anadarko, Schlumberger, RWE and Talisman.
 
For Algeria, this forum, organized by the CWC Group, Energy event organizer based in London, is an opportunity to build "strong ties" with the giants of the solar industry that will take part.
 
The Desertec Initiative (DII), an industrial consortium of 21 international companies, and represented by its CEO Paul van Son, will also take part in this conference.
 
The international group Abengoa Solar, which has already initiated hybrid plant gas / solar Hassi R'Mel hosts a session with the company First Solar, a leading provider of solar solutions, the identification of the most sustainable technologies to promote non-renewable energy in Algeria.
 
The conference will be opened by the Algerian Minister of Energy and Mines Youcef Yousfi, who will deliver a speech entitled "secure energy future flourishing in Algeria."
 
The intervention of the CEO of Sonatrach, Abdelhamid Zerguine, will highlight the petroleum industry and ways to maximize the potential of conventional and unconventional resources in Algeria, while the Sonelgaz CEO,Noureddine Boutarfa, whose group is responsible for the public authorities leading the renewable energy program, will speak on the future of alternative energy in Algeria.
