Head of ISESCO hails results of royal tour in Africa

Rabat - Director general of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri hailed the results of the royal tour in several African countries, member states of the body (Mali, Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon and Guinea Conakry).

In a statement, Altwaijri affirmed that the tour reinforced centuries-old ties with these countries as well as the joint Islamic action advocated by the ISESCO, pursuant to the objectives of the organization's charter which calls for strengthening cooperation between member states in the field of education, science and culture, in the light of Islamic human ideals and principles.

Altwaijri said the pioneer development projects, launched by HM King Mohammed VI during this tour, clearly embody the principle of Islamic solidarity and show an example to follow in terms of South-South cooperation.

This royal tour, he went on to say, has contributed to the strengthening of economic and social stability, as well as to the achievement of peace and security in the Sahel region and spreading of Islamic culture based on the principles of moderation and fight against violence and extremism.
