Head of Govt. Meets with Speaker of Gabon National Assembly

Rabat - Head of government Saad Dine El Otmani held talks, on Monday in Rabat, with speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Gabon Faustin Boukoubi, who is on a working visit to Morocco as part of the strengthening of friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries and their legislative institutions. This meeting was an opportunity to reaffirm the particularity of the Moroccan-Gabonese friendship, which derives its strength from the fraternal relations uniting the Heads of State of the two countries,

HM King Mohammed VI and His Excellency President Ali Bongo Ondimba, said a statement from the Department of the Head of Government. On this occasion, Boukoubi expressed his country's steadfast support for Morocco's positions on all questions of interest to the Kingdom, including the issue of its territorial integrity, as well as for the return of the Kingdom to the African Union and all continental organizations, according to the same source. For his part, El Otmani welcomed this constant support from the friendly Gabonese Republic, expressing the will of the Moroccan government to strive for enhancing bilateral relations at all levels and broadening their fields within the framework of a distinguished partnership. The two sides also reviewed various aspects of bilateral cooperation, notably in the field of higher education, recalling that hundreds of Gabonese students and researchers are receiving their training in Moroccan schools and higher institutions.
