Hamadi Jebali to announce line up of new government and will start consultations with parties

Interim Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali reaffirmed his decision to form a cabinet of technocrats whose members would not belong to political parties on Friday in Dar Dhiafa in Carthage, He would not disolve the government but would replace current Ministers..

He said that this was the best decision to spare Tunisia further tension TAP reported. He said the next the new government ministers would be neutral poitically but would strive to achieve the aims of the revolution and  to hold elections as soon as possible.He called on all parties to support the new government.

As the government was not resigning he said he would not go to the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) or the president regarding the new government as the present government would not resign.If he failed to obtain the support for the new cabinet, he could ask the NCA for a vote of confidence, even if he is not obliged to do so. Otherwise, another person wouldl be tasked with forming the government, he pointed out.

He expressed his convicition that the Ennahdha movement would be favour of his decision "to save the country". This is despite the fact that the Vice President of Ennhada had rejected the formation of a government of technocrats.He said he would announce the line up of the next government in the next 24 hours and would persue consultations with the political parties.
 
He asked the President to be patient following a statement from the presidency and he expressed concern over a statement by the French Minister of the Interior over the situation in Tunisia.
