Guinea will continue supporting autonomy proposal, President Condé says
Guinea will continue supporting Morocco's stand and we support the proposal by Morocco at the UN, Condé told the press upon his arrival at the Fez-Saiss airport.

The Guinean leader recalled the historical support by Guinea to Morocco in this issue, lauding the long-standing friendship between the two countries since the setting up of the "Casablanca Group" by late King Mohammed V and former Guinean president Ahmed Sékou Touré.

We hope that this dispute will be settled quickly, he said.

He also wished the swift return of Morocco to the African Union (AU). "We hope that Morocco recovers its place as soon as possible within the African Union of which he is a founding member, he said, deeming as "unusual" the absence of Morocco from the Pan African organization.
