Conakry - Guinea views Morocco as a "particular and privileged" partner, said Guinean minister of international cooperation, Moustapha Koutoubou Sanoh, who also praised Morocco's constant support to his country's development.

 "This sister and friend country is a particular and privileged partner that has contributed and continues to contribute to Guinea's socio-economic development", said the Guinean official as HM King Mohammed VI is expected on an official visit to his country.

After noting that Morocco is present in several activities in Guinea, particularly agriculture, trade, handicraft and staff training, he commended the Moroccan economic operators' increasing interest for investment in Guinea.

Koutoubou Sanoh went on that Morocco has always supported Guinea and that relationships between the two countries have never been through any crisis.

The international cooperation minister further announced that several cooperation agreements on drinking water, mining, customs, trade and justice will be signed during HM the King's visit to add up to the existing bilateral conventions.

On the international level, he pointed out that the two African countries share the same values and positions on major international issues.

On his part, head of the president's office, Mohamed Diane, said the royal visit will be an opportunity for the two heads of state to review various aspects of Moroccan-Guinean cooperation and look into prospects to reactivate the joint commission. SH MAP 031106 GMT Mar 2014
