Govt. developed firm and steadfast attitude towards Sweden's position over Moroccan Sahara issue

Rabat - Communication minister, government spokesperson Mustapha El Khalfi assured that Morocco has developed a firm and steadfast attitude towards Sweden's stance over the Moroccan Sahara issue.

Speaking at a press briefing after the weekly cabinet meeting, convened on Monday in Rabat under the chairmanship of head of government Abdelilah Benkirane, the minister said that "there is today a dialogue at the level of parties and government to deal with this issue about which the Moroccan executive submitted data and proofs showing that the national cause is sacred for all Moroccans who made all sacrifices to defend it."

The government will continue this dialogue and will keep the public opinion informed about the developments of this issue, he said, recalling that the government has informed political parties and national trade unions about the latest news at the level of the Swedish parliament and civil society. The public opinion was also informed about the meeting between the Moroccan and Swedish foreign ministers.
