Govt. Chief Holds Talks with Special Envoy of French President for Planet Protection
Rabat - Government Chief Abdelilah Benkirane held, here Monday, talks with Special Envoy of the President of the French Republic for the Protection of the Planet, Nicolas Hulot.
Nicolas Hulot is on a working visit to Morocco as part of the preparations for the 21st yearly session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 21) to the 1992 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP21 / CMP11) in Paris, and whose 22th session will be held in 2016 in Morocco.
During this meeting, Hulot hailed Morocco's involvement in the international efforts aimed at limiting the impact of human activities, particularly industrial impact on the earth climate, through devising an ambitious development policy of the production and use of renewable energy.
Hulot also hailed the substantial contribution of the Kingdom at the African level in terms of funding projects to fight climate change despite the limited impact of the Moroccan industry on the earth climate, the Government Chief's department said in a statement.
