Ghellab to take part in meetings of 8th Parliamentary Assembly of Mediterranean in Marseille
Rabat - Speaker of the House of Representatives, Karim Ghellab will take part in the meetings of the standing committees and the 8th meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) slated for January 20-22 in Marseille at the head of a parliamentary delegation.

Several PAM representatives are to speak at the opening session of the meeting in addition to the message from the Secretary General of the UN and the speech of the UN High Representative for dialogue among civilizations, said on Thursday a statement from the House of Representatives.
As for the standing committees' meetings, the first meeting will be devoted to discussing issues related to political and security cooperation, and the vote on two draft resolutions on "political changes in the region of North and Middle East Africa" and "the impact of corruption at the regional level," while the second one will discuss economic, social and environmental cooperation, and will be followed by the vote of two draft resolutions relating to "the economic crisis and employment in the Mediterranean " and "the effects of climate change in the Mediterranean."
During the second day of this regional event, the 3rd Standing Committee on the dialogue of civilizations and human rights will hold its meeting, while the plenary session will vote on the final reports and recommendations of the three standing committees, the source said.
