Germany, Morocco sign 200-million financing agreement in favor of Moroccan SMEs

Rabat - Caisse de Depot et de Gestion (CDG ) and German development bank KfW, signed Monday in Rabat, a financing contract of 200 million to fund Moroccan small and medium-sized businesses, said a statement from CDG.

Under the agreement, signed under the presidency of Anas Houir Alami, CEO of CDG, and Ulrich Schroder, CEO of KfW, FINEA, a CDG subsidiary and a major tool facilitating companies' access to funding, will receive a credit line of 200 million dedicated to the financing of Moroccan small and medium-sized companies.

The agreement is part of the partnership agreement established between CDG and KFW and managed by the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two institutions in May 2013.

"Considered the first for CDG Group and FINEA, this line of refinancing is a new contribution of CDG Group, through FINEA, benefitting the development of Moroccan SMEs," the statement said.
