Gdeim Izik case: nine defendants sentenced to life
Nine defendants prosecuted for their involvement in the events related to the dismantling of Gdeim Izik in Laayoune, including one state leakage, were sentenced to life in the night from Saturday to Sunday by the military court in Rabat.

Four other people were sentenced to 30 years in prison, eight to 25 years and 2 to 20 years. Two were questioned and sentenced for the duration of the detention.
The defendants were charged with "forming a criminal gang, violence against forces that led to the death with the intention of giving and participation."
The Gdeim Izik events, dating back to October-November 2010, caused 11 deaths among security forces, including Emergency Preparedness, 70 from these forces were injured, many seriously and four injured civilians, in addition to property damage and consequential damage to public buildings and private property.
