Chaired by the foreign ministers of both countries, the committee enabled to reinforce the four-centuries old bilateral cooperation, spokesperson of the presidency Alain-Claude Billie By Nzé said at a press conference.
The Gabonese official, also political advisor to the president, recalled that the committee follows the visit last March by HM King Mohammed VI to Gabon during which several agreements and memorandums were signed.
This active cooperation touches on the sector of health which, thanks to the partnership between the Sylvia Bongo Ondimba Foundation and the Lalla Salma foundation, the Gabonese people are received in Moroccan specialized hospitals, he said, adding that Gabonese cancer patients will benefit from a better health care.
He also noted that the Lalla Salma Foundation has an important experience in the fight against cancer and efficient tools that could benefit Gabon.
