"This choice was dictated by the nature of close bilateral relations, rich and diverse uniting Morocco and France,"  Jamal  Idoumjoud , director of the Festival said in a statement to MAP.

The choice is also explained by  the "intrinsic value to the cooperation agreement which binds us to the French association FICMT + Production + Fractal based in Toulouse," he added.

He said that the patronage of the 3rd edition of the Festival will be entrusted to the French director Claire Simone, recalling that the first edition was chaired by  Abdellatif Ouâammou, chairman of the Municipal Council of Tiznit and the second by Moroccan director Farida Bourquia.

The program of the next edition includes an official competition pitting twenty short films from Algeria, Belgium, Canada, Cuba, Djibouti, Egypt, France, Iran, Italy, Morocco, Mauritania, Mexico, Norway, Holland Portugal, Switzerland, Syria, Tunisia and the USA.

In addition to projecting out of competition seven French films in the presence of a number of directors of the Hexagon, the organizers are planning a session dedicated to school students and a course on film.
