France has proposed the partial clearing of Morocco's military debts due to it, in exchange for logistical support to the FAR African military intervention force in northern Mali.

According to the Moroccan newspaper Al Hadath My Waraa, the French Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius, has made this supply - demand proposal to Morocco, requesting the presence of the kingdom, at the Abuja summit in Nigeria which decided to send 3,300 African soldiers in northern Mali, to expel the violent Algerian Islamist groups AQIM and MUJAO from the Sahel, and in the evolution of events, Ansar Dine.

Morocco was represented at the summit by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Youssef Amrani, who assured an 'integrated approach'for the kingdom's formula to help the ECOWAS force in northern Mali.

Informed sources, explained that the formula of the Moroccan diplomacy 'Integrated Approach', means logistical support, intelligence and Royal Armed Forces specialised units  tointervene in targeted operations which are limited in time.

Elsewhere, U.S. intelligence reported a significant development in the field, consisting of a shipment of arms manufacturing in China, which would have been received by Ansar Dine.

The Islamist Ansar Dine group, previously the ally of the Tuareg MNLA, seems to espouse the Algerian position refusing the intervention of the ECOWAS force, even threatening responses in case of military intervention, given via a press release, against any anti-Muslim act.
