First Lady of Gabon Arrives in Marrakech to Attend CGI Middle East & Africa Meeting

Marrakech - The First Lady of Gabon, Sylvia Bongo Ondimba, arrived, Tuesday in Marrakech, to attend the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Middle East & Africa Meeting, which will be held on May 6-7 in Marrakech.

Upon her arrival in Marrakech Menara airport, Sylvia Bongo Ondimba was greeted by Health Minister, Houcine El Ouardi, and Gabon's Ambassador in Morocco, Abdu Razzaq Guy Kambogo.

Mrs. Sylvia Bongo Ondimba will attend the inaugural session of the CGI Middle East & Africa Meeting and take part in some panels of the meeting.

Established in 2005 by President Bill Clinton, the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), an initiative of the Clinton Foundation, convenes global leaders to create and implement innovative solutions to the world's most pressing challenges. 

CGI Annual Meetings have brought together 190 sitting and former heads of state, more than 20 Nobel Prize laureates, and hundreds of leading CEOs, heads of foundations and NGOs, major philanthropists, and members of the media. 

To date, members of the CGI community have made nearly 3,200 commitments which have improved the lives of over 430 million people in more than 180 countries.
