Rabat - The first Gabonese-Moroccan business forum offers a golden opportunity for the Moroccan private sector to boost trade between the two countries, said Monday in Rabat, Minister of equipment, transportation and logistics, Aziz Rabbah.

"This is an invaluable opportunity that is being offered to the Moroccan private sector so that it can settle in sub-Saharan Africa, including Gabon," Rabbah told MAP on the sidelines of this meeting.

The minister highlighted the significant opportunities offered by Morocco and Gabon to businesses in the areas of infrastructure and transportation, noting that African countries have embarked on extensive programs to upgrade infrastructure.

He called for putting in place the means to further develop the partnership between the private sectors of the two countries, and promote the business climate in Africa.

For his part, Ambassador of Gabon to Morocco, Abdu Razzaq Guy Kambogo noted that this meeting aims to maintain the momentum of economic relations between the two countries, and to enable economic operators in the sectors of wood, and agri-business to further boost mutually beneficial partnerships.

"Morocco has accumulated extensive experience in the wood processing industry, which is a real opportunity for Moroccan operators to interact with Gabonese suppliers to develop their cooperation," the ambassador said, highlighting the measures taken to facilitate the establishment of Moroccan companies in Gabon.
