Fatal accidents down 7.53% in 2013, official says
Rabat - The number of fatal accidents decreased by 7.53% in 2013, while the number of the dead and the wounded declined by 8.04 and 4.98% respectively, said minister delegate to the minister of equipment, transportation and logistics, in charge of transportation Mohamed Najib Boulif.

Speaking before the 60th session of the general assembly of the national committee for the prevention of road accidents (CNPAC), held Friday in Rabat, the Minister stressed that these positive results are a huge challenge in order to strive doubly hard through the setting up of new mechanisms to deal with this scourge. Boulif recalled that the government attaches great importance to road safety, noting that the Head of Government regularly monitors the various measures taken in this field. This ordinary session of the Committee has an exceptional aspect as it occurs during the summer period which registers up to 35% of mortality annual rates due to road accidents, the minister told MAP.
