Etisalat signs 3.15 billion financing deal to fund purchase of Vivendi's shares in Maroc Telecoms

Abu Dhabi - Etisalat said on Monday that it had signed a financing deal worth 3.15 billion euros with 17 local and international banks to help fund the purchase of the shares of French group Vivendi in Maroc Telecom.

The funding will be available once the transaction with Vivendi is finalized, said the Emirati group in a statement.

Vivendi signed a deal last November to sell its 53% stake in Maroc Telecom to Etisalat for a sum amounting to 4.2 billion euros.
