Egyptian Residential run off result: Morsi wins
Fouad Salem President of the Election Commission gave a long justification of its work and the difficulties and critcism it faced and then reviewed the results of all the disputed votes and the decisions finally reached by the Commission on each disputed vote.

The result finally proclaimed that Dr Ahmed Shafiq 12.3 million votes with 48 per cent and Mohamed Morsi 13.2 million votes with 51.7 per cent of the vote and as this was announced cheering erupted in the hall and in Tahrir Square.
He is Egypt's first elected civilian president. His powers still have to be defined by a new constitution.
