The constitutional court was surrounded by hundreds of supporters from the Muslim Brotherhood and the FJP party.The judges suspended the activities of the court which was considering  whether to dissolve both the constituent assembly that passed the draft constitution and the Islamist-dominated upper house of parliament, the Shura Council. "This is a final warning to Mohamed Morsi, who was democratically elected president: his policies, which favour his party and group, will cause the dissolution of his legitimacy," read the statement.
 

Large numbers of the President's supporters demonstrated on Saturday supporting the President's decree and the draft constitution saying that the islamists were the majority in the country. Egypt's political process remains polarised between islamists and secular parties. Islamist Parties won a majority of seats in the last  elections to the lower and upper houses of parliament.
