Egypt opposition leaders face investigation over incitment
The opposition leaders will be investigated over charges they "incited the overthrow" of President Mohammed Morsi by the chief prosecutor. Whilst this does not necessarily mean that they may be prosecuted there is a danger that it will worsen relations between the Islamists and secular parties at the moment when President Morsi is making a renewed call for dialogue.

Mohamed El Baradei ,former Nobel prize winner and head of the Atomic Energy Commission and Amr Moussa former head of the Arab League are internationally known figures and any governmentaction against them would be likelyto draw international condemnation. Commentators have said that the investigation is reminiscent of actions by Hosni Mubarak aginst his opponents.

In another incidentAlAhram reports that journalists and diplomats are being pressured by their superiors not to criticise President Morsi-another Mubarak technique.
