The EU diplomacy chief added that the CNDH is also tasked with issuing recommendations as well as addressing human rights complaints.

Mogherini said the EU closely follows the situation in the Sahara and expresses concern regarding the regional security and human rights ramifications of the conflict that has long lasted.

In this regard, she said the EU supports UN efforts to reach a just and lasting solution to this conflict.
