EU Praises Morocco's Efforts to Fight Cross-Border Crime
Vienna - The European Union has praised the efforts made by Morocco to fight all forms of cross-border crime, as well as its exemplary cooperation in this field.
"We welcome Morocco's active engagement in the work of the Global Counter Terrorism Forum, in particular through the initiative to co-chair, together with the Netherlands, the new working group on Foreign Terrorist Fighters whose inauguration will take place in Marrakech on 15-16 December this year", the European Union said in a statement following the 58th OSCE Joint Meeting of the Forum for Security Co-operation and the Permanent Council, held last week in Vienna.
The European Union also welcomed the "close cooperation" between Morocco and Spain in the fight against transnational threats in the Mediterranean Region.
The meeting was held in the presence of the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom in Austria, H.E. Ali El Mhamdi.
