EBRD determined to back Morocco in four economic and financial sectors
Casablanca - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is determined to back Morocco in four economic and financial sectors, said, Tuesday in Casablanca, director of EBRD office in Morocco Laurent Charbier.

Speaking at a press conference, organized by the German trade and industry chamber in Morocco, Charbier said that these four areas are part of the strategy adopted, last February by EBRD, in collaboration with the Moroccan government.
This strategy aims to develop Morocco's entrepreneurial potential, support the regions' economic development, encourage sustainable development via public services upgrading and boost financial markets, he said.
The bank official also recalled that Morocco is a founding member of EBRD, noting that the financial institution allocated 380 million euros to 17 projects in the country, in addition credit lines of up to 130 million euros concluded with local banks.
The bank also offered technical support for over 135 small and medium local enterprises, he added.
