Dissemination of Misleading Coronavirus Content: 50 Individuals under Preliminary Investigation (National Police)
Rabat - Fifty individuals were subjected to preliminary investigations, under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office, in cases of dissemination of false and falsified content on the new coronavirus (Covid-19), the national police (DGSN) said Tuesday.
In a statement, the DGSN also noted that the security operations carried out to ensure the application of the preventive measures adopted as part of the state of health emergency led to the arrest of 224 individuals across the national territory, who were placed in police custody and subjected to the necessary investigations.
While stressing that it remains concerned to ensure the adequate and firm application of the state of health emergency in order to guarantee the safety of citizens, the DGSN urges everyone to comply with all the preventive measures recommended by the medical services and the competent public authorities to stem the spread of the coronavirus, the statement concluded.
