Rome - The Italian police announced on Tuesday the dismantling of an Islamist cell based in Apulia (south-east), which had branches abroad and urged its members to suicide attacks.

Six arrest warrants for international terrorism and incitement to racial hatred have been issued  in Italy and abroad by order of prosecutors in Bari, the main town in the region.
 
According to investigators, the cell in question had close ties with important figures of international terrorism and was proselytizing anti semitic and against the infidel countries, including the United States and Italy.
 
A press conference is scheduled for the morning in Bari at the headquarters of the Carabinieri.
 
Persons to whom arrest warrants have been referred are accused of calling for jihad (holy war), and suicide operations in the West and in war zones.
 
The investigation has established that they were conducting intense propaganda and indoctrination through the dissemination of audio and video, including suicide bombers actions.
