Lundi 21 Mars 2016

Rabat - The Moroccan Royal Football Federation (FRMF) took a disciplinary action against football club 'Raja de Casablanca' (RCA) following the clash that took place during the game between the said club and 'Chabab Rif Al Hoceima', killing two and injuring 54.
The FRMF's fair play and discipline central committee, which convened in Rabat at the Federation's headquarters because of the incident, decided that the 'Raja de Casablanca' will play its five upcoming games of the "Botola Maroc Télécom D1" in camera. This disciplinary action could apply also to the matches not included in Botola 2015-2016.

In addition, the club will be fined 100,000 dirhams and should pay for damages suffered by the Casablanca Mohammed V's sports complex, said the Federation in a statement.

The FRMF, which condemns such actions which run counter the values of sport, reaffirms that it will not hesitate to take repressive measures in conformity with the laws in force to fight against all phenomena prejudicing sport in general and football in particular, said the same source.

The disciplinary action was taken following the death of two persons and the injury of 54 others, on Saturday in Casablanca, in a clash on the terraces of the said sports complex between two groups of RCA's supporters at the end of a match against 'Chabab Rif Al Hoceima' soccer team.

An investigation was opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office to determine the circumstance of these vandalism acts and nab all people involved.
