Covid-19: Morocco Records 2,329 New Cases, 3,192 Recoveries over Past 24 Hours

​Rabat - Morocco has recorded 2,329 new cases of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) over the past 24 hours while 3,192 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the same period, the Ministry of Health said on Friday.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country rises to 428,193, while the number of cured people increases to 391,920, the ministry pointed out in its daily update, adding that the recovery rate has reached 91,5%.

A total of 40 coronavirus-related deaths were registered in the past day, taking the death toll to 7,170, the source pointed out, adding that the fatality rate stands at 1.7%.

These fatalities were reported in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (13), Fez-Meknes (7), Marrakech-Safi (6), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (5), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (3), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (2), Souss-Massa (2) and the Oriental (2).

The new Covid-19 cases were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (952), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (326), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (297), Souss-Massa (192), Marrakech-Safi (155), l'Oriental (109), Fez-Meknes (95), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (68), Drâa-Tafilalet (59), Guelmim-Oued Noun (36), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (36) and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (4).

The total number of excluded cases following negative tests rises to 3,941,378 since the start of the outbreak, including 12,788 in the past day.

The number of active cases has reached 29,103, including 1,224 patients in a critical or severe condition, the ministry added.
