Covid-19: 6 New Confirmed Cases in Morocco, 44 in Total, Ministry of Health

Rabat - Six new confirmed cases of contamination with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) were reported in Morocco on Tuesday, between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m., bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 44 in the Kingdom, the Ministry of Health announced. The six new cases of infection, all from abroad, were reported in the cities of Tangier (2), Oujda (1), Rabat (1), Settat (1) and Guelmim (1), said the ministry in a statement.

The new cases were confirmed after carrying out analyzes at the Pasteur-Maroc Institute in Casablanca and at the national laboratory for influenza and respiratory viruses under the National Institute of Hygiene in Rabat, the ministry added, noting that all these cases are currently under medical assistance at the hospital where they are treated in accordance with the health measures in force. The ministry invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health security and to adhere, in all responsibility and in a spirit of patriotism, to the preventive measures announced by the Moroccan authorities.
