Chile Seeks to Consolidate Ties with Morocco, Says President of National Assembly
Rabat - Chile seeks to further consolidate its relations with Morocco in political, commercial and cultural fields, President of the Chilean National Assembly (lower house), Marco Antonio Nunez Lozano, said Tuesday in Rabat.
"There is a real opportunity to further consolidate political, trade and cultural relations with Morocco, a connecting bridge between Africa, Europe and the Republic of Chile", Nunez Lozano told MAP following a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Salaheddine Mezouar.
The two countries can explore several areas of cooperation, notably regarding the use of water in desert areas and the use of non-conventional renewable energy, particularly solar energy, the President of the Chilean National Assembly said, expressing the will of his country to give new impetus to partnership bonds with the Kingdom.
