Catherine Ashton in Morocco Monday
The High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Catherine Ashton, is expected in Morocco on Monday for a working visit, the EU Delegation in Rabat announced on Saturday in a statement.

During the visit, the first of its kind, she will hold talks with the Moroccan leaders on the EU neighborhood policy, the regional integration of the Arab Maghreb region and the security situation in the Sahel region,MAP reported.
“The European Union strongly supports Morocco’s political and economic reforms and is keenly following the implementation of the new Constitution, whether with regard to the justice reform or the new provisions relating to human rights,” the statement said.
It noted that the Kingdom is a major beneficiary of EU funds in the region, with more than six billion dirhams (some USD 698, 653)of donations for the period 2011-2013.
