Casablanca's 2015-2020 strategic development plan unveiled
Casablanca - Casablanca's 2015-2020 strategic development plan was presented on Monday to national media outlets by the wali of the greater Casablanca region, governor of Casablanca prefecture Khalid Safir and the metropolis mayor Mohamed Sajid.

Speaking on the occasion, Safir reviewed the broad lines of the development plan, launched by HM King Mohammed VI on Oct. 11, 2013, underlining that the six-year plan is an ideal tool to ensure the city's development at all levels through the implementation of a series of ambitious projects worth 33.6 billion dirhams.

This inclusive, balanced and integrated development plan, elaborated according to a participatory approach, seeks to reconcile the city with its inhabitants, optimize mobility in terms of time and cost, develop a real entertainment offer while embodying excellence, bringing thus Casablanca to the rank of model successful cities, he said.

The program is aimed at improving the living conditions of the city's inhabitants, reinforcing mobility at the region's level (tramway, bridges), promoting economic attractiveness and amelioration business climate to enhance the region's position as a national and international hot destination for shopping and entertainment, he added.
