CAN 2015: Morocco did not shirk its commitments
Rabat - Morocco, which is attached to organizing the next Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2015) and maintains its postponing, did not shirk its commitments, said, on Tuesday in Rabat, minister of youth and sports Mohamed Ouzzine.
Morocco did not refuse the organization of this competition but requested its postponing for relevant motives, said Ouzzine answering oral questions at the house of advisors.
The postponing request was due to the spreading of an epidemic that the world is striving to contain, he said, adding that we should weigh up the pros and cons of holding such event.
On the stand by the Confederation of African Football which confirmed, Tuesday in Cairo, that CAN 2015 will not be hosted by Morocco, Ouzzine said that he respects this decision, insisting that Moroccans' interest comes first.
